Arizona Roots presents Clint Stevens at The River Walk 2020!!
CLINT STEVENS
Clint Stevens is a seven-piece reggae/funk/rock band from Tempe, Arizona. Formed in April of 2016 by Clint Richardson (guitar) and Steve Rector (vocals), they were soon joined by Joe Irizarry (keys), Nick “Groove” Turner (Bass), and Zenon “Z” Castro (drums). After about a year of playing every show they could get their name on, they released their first EP, The Pinner in March of 2017. Soon after, they were joined by Chaz Fertal (saxophone) and Henri Benard (Percussion). The addition of two members propelled the band to new heights, and they would spend much of the following two years playing among such greats as Slightly Stoopid, Stick Figure, Rebelution, Fortunate Youth, The Movement, and Iya Terra, as well as legends like Toots and the Maytals, The Wailers, and Barrington Levy. In June of 2019, they would release their first full-length album, Choice Chillington via Roots Musician Records, which was followed up with a three-part docu-series about the making of the album. In 2020, the boys look forward to playing Arizona Roots Music and Arts Festival for the second year in a row, as well as their first tour outside of their home state of Arizona.
