Question:

1. Who are the members?

Answer:

“I appreciate the love!  It has been a long journey. I have been doing music for fifteen years  and just barely started taking reggae rock as my  own lane. In February 2019 I was reached out to by my manager Charles Chavez who told me I could possibly get onto Atlantic records with the new  sound that I had, but I had to find a band because at the moment I was on a solo gig. So I started looking for hard working talented seasoned individuals and went to my A & R Rick, he with my producer DJ Flick used Instagram and started hash tagging   # to find our band members we typed #reggaeguitarist and found Ricky Ramirez  who is our lead guitarist, we then typed  #hollywood drummer #Berkeley drummer to find and found our Berkeley graduate from Boston named Sam Ward. We have  been through a few members. My childhood homie Chris Garcia started the band with me AKA his Hollywood handle is  “DJ Irie”  Chris Garcia he is the  pianist for me and his buddies who went to LA recording  school Alex Brazil , Alex Bernstein from Brazil we are the five members as of now.  We want to continue to be a band as we all come from great music backgrounds, we are  family driven people and care for our  homes before anything else. We wanted to make sure we had our acts together before we signed the deal with Atlantic and take to take our act to the big stages like One Love”

Question:

2. Tell me about the experience playing at One Love Cali Fest?

Answer:

We did not  even expect to be on One love. We didn’t know. Just industry like hotel cafes like maybe 11 people there to see us  and it  did not get discouraged that’s for sure, felt we were destined to do bigger and better things just kept playin and eventually got brought onto Paradyme agency talent agency booking got a n opportunity to share satge with people that inspired us like Sublime, inspiration since a kid . There music guided me through difficult times growing up. There was one person there for me Bradley Noel who sang story of my life and he put a map out  to follow.  Everything he used to talk about when I was a kid didn’t really  make sense to me I just liked the music and then as I grew older into an adult  Bradley noels lyrics meant everything, because I went through everything he was talking about.  Had an early slot 4:00 pm and rocked it like we were the main act stage We like to embody the feeling summer all year round, Thats what we did at One Love great time up on stage we chugged beers met sme new people in out home town and it was mind blowing and we hope to share the stage with these kind of bands. When playing at One Love I see Rome from Sublime standing back stage just watching us with my buddy DJ Flick and  he just came through to watch  4th & Orange and that showed me right there it doesn’t matter how big you are have to keep your ears  for the upcoming and have to have respect for each other and and to see Rome from Sublime to see the lead singer standing there watching and showing us the love ill never forget that I know how I should be as an artist. when I get to a point in life when I am famous or as known as Sublime still have to remember to keep my eyes open and still have to  show respect for others coming up that is what Rome did.   I  have to remember to know who I have to be as an artist,  to show respect for people coming after like Rome did best thing I have ever seen any artist do.

Question:

3. Tell us a little about the band?

Answer:

We also like to live amongst the people  I know a lot of people look at artists and think sometimes they hold there selves above other people but we are such regular people and like to party, we are animals, but we are real people and love to meet people who come from a regular situation . We enjoy the good life.

Question:

4.What was it like singing on Tiki stage in LBC releasing the song in the LBC?

Answer:

Released the song in the  LBC chorus of the record brought back from an old song very  legendary in Long Beach called “Summertime in the LBC”  by the Dubshack One of our most legendary most recognized where I come from we ‘ released it the day we performed in Long Beach we were so used to be at rehearsals and being in small spaces and being in places like hotel cafes that are very intimate settings  and then one day we are outside outdoors , beautiful sun and the Queen Mary beside us and a large audience in an outdoor venues. It was amazing because  showed us that we are capable of finally doing what are peers that are so great bands like  Rebelution, Sublime, and Tribal Seeds and other bands that are so  great at being outdoors venue type bands . Now we are know we are ready for this. Help us understand where we need to be bigger in sound and what more we need to add to the show  so people can be  captivated like we were when we saw bands like Sublime. When Sublime came out that night Oh my God it felt like I was 12 years old with the biggest smile ever.  We had a foot and a half joint filled with two ounces of weed we lit it up  it was insane people were like can we hit that and we were like sure this is too much weed for us to smoke.

Question:

5.Was that the first time attending One Love?

Answer:

First time attendance at the festival ever, prior doing hip hop music and  doing more in the club venue my heart  heart wanted to make reggae in settings with the beach venues being beach side with the ocean beside me  and sun out. beside me that is where I want to be.  my bread and butter forever. Where I  want to be. For the us to be known first festival ever in your hometown. thought it was planned, but not planned. Not planned but gods plan to start the   Gods plan to start the legend of the band blew his mind and humbled he played last year at Tequila Jacks having margaritas in Long Beach next to the festival but wanted to be at One Love and very happy for those performing but hurt that he hadn’t done enough to be at one love inspired to be in the studio and n

Paradgym got the opportunity to share the stage

sang story of my life and map to follow. music didn’t

Question:

6.What was your favorite song to play ?

Answer:

We have a couple band favorites but personally, I love hip hop and to rap and I have this urge to mix hip hop pop and reggae with the music. Every culture, every one is mixed a mixture of cultures as a band we represent it all and feel the band should represent it all. We have a new song coming out “Alarma”. It is like the West Coast Whistle with The Game and Sublime. Combined it has got this great reaction.

Question:

7.When is the next vinyl dropping?

Answer:

The next vinyl ix coming out next month it is a remix of the record in the LBC  with a  surprise guest Warren G! Got the OG on it!

Question:

8.New track what it means to you?

Answer:

To me the track means that we all come from somewhere. and doesn’t matter where you come from.  I feel like if the place where you do come from plays a big part in your career, life, personality that you  kinda do owe homage to the place that has kept you grounded, This place for me it was always Long Beach, you can go one block and the ethnicity of the neighborhood is very diverse.  Living in apartments  living  at 304 & 305  in every city matters we showed people to pay homage back maybe we are saying LBC if they did feel the same way in their city then I did get the message across.
