Renowned music producer Clive Hunt introduces ‘Mi Caan’t’, the debut release from the duo Renae & Jermi. This track reimagines Barrington Levy’s classic ‘My Woman’ as a lively lover’s quarrel with a contemporary roots reggae production sound. Hailing from St. Catherine and Spanish Town, Jamaica, Renae and Jermi are the newest talents signed to Clive Hunt’s production company, Iconic Azul. Clive shares, “I had collaborated with Jermi as a trumpet player and knew he could sing. When he brought Renae into the mix, I realized we had something special. They’re young, gifted, and incredibly humble. Listening to Barrington Levy’s ‘My Woman’, I envisioned a modern update with a fresh, youthful energy.
