Festiville Magazine's 2026 edition brings together four of the most iconic figures in reggae and dancehall for an unprecedented feature that explores their shared history, individual journeys, and vision for the future of Jamaican music.

The feature, photographed at a historic studio in Kingston, captures Buju Banton, Capleton, Vybz Kartel, and Gentleman in a rare moment of collective reflection. Despite their different musical paths, the four artists share a deep mutual respect and a common commitment to the power of music as a force for change.

Buju Banton opens the conversation with characteristic directness: 'We are all products of the same soil, the same struggle. Our music comes from the same place, even if it takes different roads. That's the beauty of Jamaica — the diversity within the unity.'

Capleton, the 'Prophet', speaks about the spiritual dimension of their work: 'Every song is a prayer. Every performance is a service. We are not just entertainers — we are messengers. The Most High put this music in us for a reason, and we have a responsibility to use it wisely.'

Gentleman, the German-born reggae ambassador, reflects on his connection to Jamaican culture: 'I came to this music as an outsider, but it welcomed me completely. That's what reggae does — it has no borders. It speaks to the human condition, and that's universal.'

The full feature, including extended interviews and an exclusive photo gallery, is available in the current issue of Festiville Magazine, available at selected retailers and online at festiville.com.
