Admiral Bailey

Admiral Bailey, born Glendon Bailey in Kingston, Jamaica, is a veteran dancehall deejay who rose to prominence in the mid-1980s as one of the most energetic and entertaining performers of the era. Known for his boisterous stage presence, rapid-fire delivery, and crowd-pleasing anthems, Bailey became a staple of the Jamaican dancehall scene during one of its most vibrant periods.

Bailey recorded extensively for producer King Jammy, whose digital dancehall productions defined the sound of late 1980s Jamaica. His 1987 hit "One Scotch" became a massive dancehall anthem, and he followed it with a string of popular singles that kept him at the forefront of the scene.
